This book is an expanded translation of Volume 14 of the natural history series published in Hungarian by the Natural History Museum (Budapest) in 2002. It represents the most comprehensive compilation of information on all minerals, rocks and fossil resins first described from the Carpathian region. As well, it contains mineral synonyms and discarded names gleaned from original sources and equated to the appropriate IMA recognized species.
